About the event
Are you an artist, curator, art historian, archivist, or simply an art lover based in Lusaka? You're invited to the Mosi oa Tunya Perennial: Introductory Gathering taking place on 4 February 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Henry Tayali Gallery, Showgrounds.
The Mosi oa Tunya Perennial is a large-scale international art exhibition set for Livingstone from September 2026 to January 2027. Inspired by global biennial models yet grounded in Southern Africa's histories of movement, exchange, and migration, the Perennial reimagines what an international exhibition can be. It draws from the region's long-standing corridors of people and wildlife - pathways that have always extended beyond modern borders and restrictions.
This introductory gathering will present the vision, guiding principles, and long-term direction of the Perennial, encourage dialogue around alternative exhibition models, and strengthen collaboration between institutions, artists, and communities.
Join the conversation and be part of shaping this journey.
