For the 4th year running, Alliance Française Lusaka teams up with the brilliant actress/theatre maker, Maria Mukuka (@mariavalacia) and brings a fresh twist on the classic comedy "Le Barbier de Séville" by Pierre Beaumarchais.
"The Barber of Seville" is a comedy about love, deception and a clever barber. Count Almaviva is smitten with the beautiful Rosine, but she is locked away by her controlling guardian, Dr. Bartholo, who wants to marry her himself.
Enter Figaro: the witty, scheming barber, who uses disguises, tricks, and a lot of charm to help the Count win Rosine's heart. In this classic tale of love, chaos, and comedy plots will love and Figaro triumph in the end?
